The City of Chelsea, through Chelsea Prospers and with support from the Chelsea Cultural Council, is proud to partner with the Veronica Robles Cultural Center (VROCC) to bring the Official Día de Muertos Celebration 2025 to our community. This collaboration honors life, memory, and cultural tradition through art, music, and collective reflection.

The celebration in Chelsea began with the creation of a community altar at Chelsea City Hall Plaza, located at 500 Broadway. Built by local residents on October 25, the altar invites everyone to remember loved ones and reflect on the meaning of Día de Muertos. It will remain on public display through November 2.

The festivities will culminate on Sunday, November 2, at Winnisimmet or Chelsea Square Park from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m., featuring a lively parade of Catrinas, Catrines, and Mojigangas, as well as performances by Veronica Robles and her Mariachi, The Lobsters, and Los Vrockeros. An open mic session will follow from 4:15 to 4:45 p.m.

Community members are invited to join the lineup at 12:45 p.m. on Winnisimmet Street, wearing traditional attire and marching alongside Grooversity Group, Caporales San Simon, Cultura Latina, and Ballet Folklorico Latinoamericano VROCC.

This partnership celebrates Chelsea’s vibrant Latino heritage and the power of art to bring people together in remembrance and joy.
