A new display showcases drawings created by second-grade students during a recent workshop led by artists Hania Mariën and Anna Deloia as part of Imagining More Just Futures.
This project is part of the Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC)’s Lower Mystic “Cool Communications” initiative, which raises awareness about extreme heat and promotes community resilience. During the workshop, students explored how animals stay cool in hot weather and created colorful signs reminding us all to stay safe and take care this summer.
Stop by the library to enjoy the air conditioning, discover some great reads, and check out this thoughtful and timely student artwork now on display.
