Mexican classic dishes
164 Broadway, Chelsea, MA 02150
Tijuana Mexico has been a Chelsea mainstay since 1989 when two friends, Rigoberto Villanueva and Gilberto Moreno, bought the building in Chelsea Square to create a colorful spot known for its fusion of Salvadoran and Mexican dishes.
Today Rigoberto’s son Danne takes the helm with a lifetime of restaurant experience and a degree in hospitality, overseeing this restaurant and two others in East Boston and Lowell.
Popular dishes here are the fajitas, carne asada, shrimp enchiladas, and mole poblano. Signature dish is Pollo Tijuana, an orange marinated fried chicken with corn flake coating. There’s sweet, savory, crunchy pleasure in every bite.
Dietary restrictions are accommodated with a smile. Their portions are generous.
The vibrant interior and consistently great food make Tijuana Mexico home for locals and those returning time and again.
