Co-owners Edson Coimbra and Marvin Posada, Brazilian and Salvadoran immigrants respectively, met while making their way up the ladder in Boston area restaurants from dishwashers to chefs to managers. They’re seasoned pros and their experience shows in every detail.

The flavors here are authentic Italian as Ciao! imports its flour, tomatoes, and olive oil. The fresh ingredients are prepped daily.

Their thin crust pizza cooks in ninety seconds so that you’ll enjoy your slice just five minutes from order to hand to tongue. Favorite pizzas are the classics Margherita and Salsiccia, but the spicy, roasted shrimp and the mushroom ricotta pizzas will transport you to the Mediterranean.

Every week, Ciao’s narrow, open kitchen turns out over two hundred pounds of pasta and sixty pounds of its popular gnochetti, small, hand-extruded shells. Ciao! tops its gnochetti with four hour-braised short ribs, a filling, comforting dish.
